International Product Conformity Approval Marks

India: 'S' Mark represents mark of Safety granted under the national level Safety Certification ('S' Mark) Scheme of Standardisation,Testing and Quality Certification, Department of Information Technology, Government of India. The scheme is intended to provide by means of factory inspection, testing and subsequent surveillance of the manufacturer on adequate level of confidence regarding safety of approved products to appropriate safety standard. The scheme is designed as per international requirements (ISO/IEC Guide 65, EN 45011) and Accredited by Dutch Council for Accreditation RvA, Netherland.
India: The Product Certification Scheme of BIS aims at providing Third Party Guarantee of quality, safety and reliability of products to the ultimate customer. Presence of ISI certification mark known as Standard Mark on a product is an assurance of conformity to the specifications. The conformity is ensured by regular surveillance of the licensee's performance by surprise inspections and testing of samples, drawn both from the market and factory.
Japan: Specific Electrical Appliances and Electrical Appliances other than the specific electrical appliances should satisfy the requirements of <PS> E mark.
China: The CCC (China Compulsory Certification) Mark is a mandatory safety and quality mark for electrical, electronic and many other products sold in China. The manufacturers are not allowed to self-declare to the requirements of the CCC Mark and products must be tested in China, and a CQC auditor must conduct the initial factory inspection. All the products listed in Compulsory Certification Catalogue (19 species, 132 products, 9 industries) should bear the CCC mark issued by the specified certification organization and be pasted the CCC label before leaving factory for distribution, importing or using in the business activities.
Taiwan: Most products sold in Taiwan must be approved in accordance with the regulations as set forth by the BSMI (Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection).
Canada: The CSA Mark on a product means that CSA has tested and evaluated representative samples of that product and determined that it meets CSA's requirements.
Korea: The Korea eK mark is recognized in Korea as a mandatory mark. It is mandated that manufacturers must have their products bear eK mark for South Korean market . The eK mark must also fulfil the requirements of the EMC directive .
Korea: The MIC Mark is required for information technology equipment. Depending upon the product, the MIC Mark applies for Safety, EMC or Telecom. It is a mandatory mark for products in Korea.
Eurpoe: The Pan-European voluntary HAR certification mark is a proof of quality for buyers and promotes the success of cables in the European market. The HAR agreement is not valid for cables for which there is no testing standard or the testing standard for which has not been confirmed as an HD standard. The right to use the HAR mark (HAR licence) can only be granted to manufacturers located in a CENELEC country.
Russian Fedration: The GOST-R mark is a mandatory safety certification mark for electrical products which are going to be shipped into Russia. A product without the GOST-R-conformity mark may be rejected at the borders of the Russian Federation.
Europe: The Keymark is a voluntary quality certification mark for thermal insulation products , developed by the European standardisation bodies which are member of the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) . It proves that the product complies with the European product standard. The Keymark can also be used for services.
Thailand: The product certitication schemes of TISI consists of two types with different certification marks. They are voluntary certification mark and mandatory certification mark. The quality control system of the manufacturers will be assessed according to the particular requirements for products certification and the general requirements for products quality control system. TISI also evaluates the product against the applicable Thai Industrial Standard (TIS) and the relevant particular requirements for products certification. We also offer local representation in Thailand for TISI, NTC, TOT etc. approvals through our associates.
Germany: For electrotechnical products including products according to the Appliance and Product Safety Act (GPSG) and Medical Product Act (MPG). The VDE Mark indicates conformity with the VDE standards or European or internationally harmonized standards resp. and confirms compliance with protective requirements of the applicable EC Directive(s). The VDE Mark is a symbol for electrical, mechanical, thermal, toxic, radiological and other hazards. For technical working equipment or commodities ready for use, in the sense of the GPSG, the licence holder may chose to affix the VDE Mark or the VDE GS Mark.
