ISO 9001:2026
The much awaited 2026 edition of ISO 9001 Quality Management System is expected to be published during September 2026.

It will feature a stronger emphasis on risk management, quality culture, leadership accountability, and environmental/climate change considerations.

The transition period for ISO 9001:2026 is expected to be three years. Certificates issued to ISO 9001:2015 must transition to the new edition within this period to remain valid.

ISO 45001:2027
ISO 45001:2027 is the upcoming major revision of the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management systems. Currently under development, the new version is expected to be published in March 2027, replacing the current ISO 45001:2018 version.

ISO 45001:2027 is expected to modernize workplace safety by elevating mental health and psychosocial risks to the same level of importance as physical hazards. It will specifically address the challenges of the modern era, such as managing the safety of remote and hybrid workers, integrating climate change resilience into risk assessments, and leveraging digital technologies for real-time monitoring. By aligning more closely with ESG frameworks and emphasizing diversity and inclusion, the update aims to help organizations build a more holistic, resilient, and human-centered safety culture.

A standard 3-year transition period is anticipated, during which organizations must migrate their certification from the 2018 version to the 2027 version
